It's the children who pay. They suffer by living with her and they'll probably suffer by living in foster care. I agree with Animalmuther that she should be sterilized... as should the father/fathers of her children who are equally to blame for any harm/neglect she's caused his/their children.

whats really sad is that I remember her from my high school days..
I was a couple yrs ahead of her in school. and I can safely say that
I didnt like her then and I dont like her now..ESPECIALLY after reading that..

I just read today's story on the events leading up to the police going to this house. To me it's gone from bad to worse. My heart breaks for these children and I don't see how they will ever be reunited with their Mother until she gets her life together.

The Chron's article just made me more mad at the woman. The "babysitter" (who most of us didn't know was the sitter until the Chron article) that was interviewed seemed like she cared- and maybe it's not her fault that she didn't know the kids names- especially if she was hit up last minute to babysit- but the fact that she made up a robbery when it is apparent that she doesn't know how to think cognitively- AND like I said, I was at the bar, and she FORGOT HER PURSE AT THE BAR, I doubt she is in complete control of her brain at this point.

The baby sitter is said to be a transient drug user... if that's so? She has no biz watching anybody's kids... especially not seven of them! This entire story makes me madder and madder and sadder and sadder.

I just read The Chronicle from yesterday and I've got a few comments and they probably will not be nice.

1. If that isn't white trash, I don't know what is.
2. Those kids must have seven different fathers because I can't believe a man would have sex with her once, let alone twice AFTER having a kid.
3. Out at the bars, looking for daddy #8??
4. How is someone like that so fertile, yet thousands of married couples can't conceive??
5. How many tax dollars will this woman receive over the next 20 years??
6. I predict the odds at 100% that at least 3 of the 7 kids will either be teenage parents themselves, drug addicts, and/or in jail at some point in the next 10 years.

Don't know the exact numbers but statistically these children are more likely to drop out of school, use drugs and alcohol and repeat the lives of their parents.

I have been reading the news just like most in regards to these poor children. What makes me as angry are the self-righteous people that have negitive things to say about these children "suffering" in foster care. It's amazing that not one of opened there hearts OR their homes to take these children in. We have been doing it for fourteen years and believe me, when DSHS calls all foster parents rally together to make room for all these children. They come to us dirty, scared, without cloths, negelected, and angry, just to name a few of the things we have to care for. We show them love, understanding and patients. One comment was made that statistics show that children in foster care go to jail or become drug addicts. How many of the drug addicted parents came from foster care? Don't blame foster care. Success stories come out of our homes everyday. I have a foster child that won the governors scholarship and has just earned her batchlers degree from Eastern University. I have three on the honor roll in high school. Take the time to call DSHS and become a foster parent, it is far more productive.
I know we don't have enough foster homes and these children are most likely going to be split up. You can help. We did.
